Lord Howe Island

This World Heritage-listed natural paradise has timeless natural beauty as well as unique flora and fauna.

Lord Howe Island

Lord Howe is an exclusive, yet laid-back place with just 350 residents and a tourist population that cannot exceed 400 at any one time. It is less than two hours flight from Sydney or Brisbane.

Tourism NSW works with the Regional Tourism Organisation of Lord Howe Island in this zone.

Tourism NSW’s objectives are to create better awareness of the destination, to affect preference and to influence intention to visit Lord Howe Island.

The campaign’s focus is to promote reasons to visit the island during the low season (winter). Bearing in mind that the island has an upper limit on visitor numbers, this strategy aims to even out the fluctuation of visitors.

Target source markets include Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Campaigns are targeted at adventure and luxury travellers.

Marketing Campaigns
Tourism NSW runs marketing campaigns to promote Lord Howe Island throughout the year, often in conjunction with industry partners.  These can include brand and tactical activity, across a range of mediums, including television, print, online and public relations.
