Destination NSW provides a range of resources for tourism businesses operating in special interest markets:

Aboriginal tourism product is either Aboriginal owned or operated, employs a majority of Aboriginal people, or provides consenting contact with Aboriginal people, culture or land.

Accessible Tourism
Accessible tourism is about making it easy for all people to enjoy tourism experiences.

Business Events Sydney (BESydney) in partnership with Destination NSW, is responsible for promoting and developing Sydney and regional NSW as the premier business events tourism destination within Australia and overseas.

Cruise Tourism
The cruise sector generates many tourism opportunities for Sydney and the numerous regional ports along the beautiful NSW coastline.

Nature in Tourism
New South Wales is rich in natural heritage.  It has a wealth of natural attractions including four of Australia’s sixteen World Heritage Areas.

Surf Tourism
NSW is promoted as the premier surf destination in Australia as the State is home to some spectacular surf destinations. 77 of the top 100 surf beaches are in Australia and 40.5 per cent of accredited surf schools are in NSW. Catching the wave is a Destination NSW produced publication which outlines its approach to promote and develop NSW as Australia's premier surfing and surf tourism destination.

Youth Market

International Youth Leisure Market Fact Sheet

Destination NSW has developed a youth marketing program, in consultation with the Backpackers Operators Association, featuring a range of activities that will run year-round in both the domestic and international marketplace.

Youth is an important market for NSW making up just over one-third of all international leisure visitors to NSW. Due to their long length of stay they contribute to almost half the international leisure nights spent in the state.
