Internet Use in Trip Planning & Booking  |  September 2011

This snapshot presents information on international and domestic visitors who used the internet as an information source for travel and as a tool for booking travel prior to commencing their trip. Data is sourced from Tourism Research Australia’s International Visitor Survey and National Visitor Survey and relates to visitors aged 15 years and over.

Wine and food tourism experiences have been gaining in popularity over recent years. As a result, niche wine and food tourism experiences have become key drivers of destination choice amongst visitors.   
 
Destination NSW has conducted research aimed at understanding the decision making process consumers undertake when considering a wine and food themed holiday in regional New South Wales.
